Course Details

Diploma in Medical Radiotheraphy Technology (DMRT), is a two-year diploma professional course. The course provides study of Radiology Therapy used for the diagnosis and treatment of disease inside body using radiations.

Diploma in Medical Radiotheraphy Therapy (DMRT) - Radiotheraphy therapy is the treatment of cancer and other diseases with ionizing radiation. Ionizing radiation deposits energy that injures or destroys cells in the area being treated (the "target tissue") by damaging their genetic material, making it impossible for these cells to continue to grow.Radiation in high doses kills cells or keeps them from growing and dividing. Because cancer cells grow and divide more rapidly than most of the normal cells around them, radiation therapy can successfully treat many kinds of cancer. Radiotheraphy therapy is a second entry program - you must have at least one year of university education to apply. If you have a Master's or Ph.D. degree your undergraduate courses will still be reviewed, as the prerequisites ensure that each student has the background necessary to be successful in the program.
